‘모호성’이라는 물성에 근간을 두고 모호한 형태를 연구해온 작가가 그 모호성의 한 유형을 <덩어리> 전시에서 보여주었다. 각양각색의 덩어리들은 공간의 위치와 모양새 그리고 흐름에 따라 여기저기에 배치되었고, 이 덩어리를 응시하는 듯한 거대한 덩어리가 작은 공간에 채워져 있다. 서로 긴장관계에 놓여 있는 두 형태는 ‘치장과 날것’의 개념을 대비시켜 그 간극에서 보이지 않는 형상과 심리적 현상을 유발한다. 덩어리와 공간 또한 이질성과 동질성, 대립과 병립이 공존하는 이중적 관계를 드러낸다.

So Young PARK presented a series of works on ‘ambiguity’ in the show entitled ‘Lump’. She has been working on these vague shapes based on its physical property. Divers lumps in different shapes and colors were spread out according to the flow, location and shape of the gallery space. Besides, the bigger lump which seemed like staring at the smaller ones filled up the lateral space. These two shapes holding a tense relationship put the concept of ‘raw’ and ‘decorative’ in contrast. The invisible shape and psychological symptoms aroused in this difference of tension. The ambilateral relation was drawn with lump and space, heterogeneity and homogeneity, opposition and compatibility.
