Stemming from the Buddhist concept of reincarnation "yisook" means "to mature." Juyon Kim’s work speaks of nature’s cycle, the process of growth and the extinction of the ecosystem. Transforming the exhibition space into a womblike environment to signify the root of life, she places there white clothes (symbolizing femininity and the body of pregnancy) sown with seeds of edible crucifers and legumes. Kim distributed seeds and planters to viewers who were asked to send her photos of the plants they nurtured.
